Wooden drumsticks, used by the shaman (jhakri) to beat his drum (dhyangro). Probably Chepang people, Nepal. These drumsticks were used for drums with a wooden cross inside, as handle. The drumstick has a carved jhakri on top. These objects can become beautiful patinated after extensive use. 29-32cm. (1st half 20th century)
